Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

We signed up for the pre-wedding photoshoot during the Midvalley Wedding Fair earlier on January this year. After aimlessly walking around to find the best bridal studio, we have decided to have our photoshoot at Anovia Bridal Studio. The studio offers the best and finest wedding photography to couples with a price that is slightly higher than the others.

We went to Penang for the photoshoot for 4 days 3 nights. We didn't have much time to walk around the city as we were so occupied with the photoshoot.

Took Firefly airline there and not a bad experience after all.

On the first day of 29th May 2014, we went for gown selection. I took just a mere 2 hours plus to try the gowns. They have the best designer gowns using finest material so it didnt take long for me to choose a gown that I really love.

30th May 2014 was the day that we've been preparing ourselves, mentally and physically for so long. Reached the studio at 11.10am and had my make up and hair do done in 1 1/2 hours time. Planned to go for outdoor photoshoot first because of the cloudy weather but at last we couldn't make it because it was raining cats and dogs while my make up artist is still working her hands on me.

Changed plan. We had our first indoor photoshoot first until 3.30pm before we went to Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa. We had to take our photos under the rain. What an experience! The wind was strong and I felt that my false eyelashes were not in its place. So worry of how I look when we were taking the photos. After that, we returned to the studio and continued with the photoshoot of another two gowns at two different locations in the studio.

Everything was completed at 8.30pm and we were extremely exhausted and famished after that. The staff were kind enough to drop us at the City Bayview Hotel and we had our dinner at Red Garden food court, nearby the hotel.

The next day, 31st May 2014 was the day that we were anticipating for... The results of a hard day work! We went to the studio for photo selection. Had a hard time selecting the photos as we need to choose just 40 photos out of the 148 photos taken yesterday. We had to purchase extra 9 pictures, to be included in the CD for the price of Rm78 for each. Ended up paying an extra of Rm702 for it.

Really glad that the photos turned out to be good and didn't disappoint both of us. We think that it is worth the price!

Some pictures that we took during our visit to Penang.

At Gurney Paragon.

Started our day on 30th May 2014 with a great breakfast at Aik Hoe. Love their egg tarts! Best I've ever tasted so far!

Self-service. Take a tray and pick your dim sum =)

Looking for directions to the wall arts.

Durian season is here!

Make up for the photoshoot. =)

At night, we returned to our hotel for a quick change before we headed to Red Garden for beer and dinner. =)

31st May-Woke up for buffet breakfast and enjoyed the facilities in the hotel. Swam and had gym for 2 hours.

After photo selection, the staff at the bridal studio arranged a taxi for us. But, ended up it was a private car of a Chinese uncle in his 50s, who distributed a name card to us with the name Mr Taxi Wxxx. Forced us to take pictures with his smartphone and asked us to save our contact numbers by giving him a missed call. Crazy guy! Told us grandmother stories about how he failed in his business few years back and his current life mission.. Who cares..

We're ripped off by him when he charged us Rm50 for a 20minutes driving distance from Bagan Jermal to Batu Feringghi. Bargained with him and asked us to pay Rm35. Fxxx!

I knew something was not right when we're in his car. We're rushing to see sunset at the beach but he made a few stops some shops selling coffee beans and tea leaves to tourists. The best thing was he didn't ask our permission..

Luckily we managed to captured the sunset view at 7.20pm..

Walked along the main road of Batu Feringghi for the night market. Came across a local circus..

Dinner at a food court.

The next morning, we woke up early for dim sum breakfast at Aik Hoe again. Haha. Then took a bus to Penang Hill. Waled about 20 minutes to reach there. We think we made the right decision to take the bus because we could enjoy the morning breeze and the views along the road!
