Ming Kee bak kut teh

We had our Sunday dinner at Ming Kee Bak Kut Teh. We ordered a bowl of 'you tiao', a bowl of braised mushroom and bak kut teh for 3 persons. Everything costs us Rm48 for 5 persons. Everything is good from service to food. Just that the portion isa bit small.. Anyway, we were all full because of the refillable chinese tea. Haha

After dinner, we had a short walk back to our car. On the way, we saw a two storey wholesale market and decided to have a look of what they sell there. In the next second, we were crazily buying snacks and biscuits in big packets because of its' cheap price!
My favourite marshmallow! Rm4.50 only.. Damn cheap. Gonna enjoy it tonight while watching drama. =P

Bukit Gasing

Although it's a Saturday, we woke up at 6.30am for our adventurous hiking day.. Friend picked us up at 7.10am and we made our way to the wet morning market at SS2.

Went there to buy some delicious rice dumpling/ba chang. Next monday is the dragon boats festival where the Chinese celebrated it by eating rice dumpling.

We walked around and couldn't decide which stalls to buy it. At last, we chose a stall that sells different types of rice dumpling. Each one costs about Rm3.. Did not buy much as we worry it is not tasty..

After that we continued to find the Gasing Hill or better known as Bukit Gasing. Located 10 minutes away from our staying place.

Don't know what's wrong with me coz I forgot to bring the mosquito repellant balm, drinking water and most importantly is the Google map to our destination.. Printed it out yesterday but forgot to bring.. At last, we ended up at the wrong place.. =.=

We managed to ask some passers-by for the exact location..

Arrived at our destination!

The air is really refreshing in the morning. It makes you feel energetic and full of confidence to start the day.

Clear blue sky

We found the suspension bridge but it was broken.. Need to walk the alternative way. By holding tight to ropes and some branches along the way down..

After the tiring hiking, we decided to have our breakfast at a mamak restaurant called Raju. Located along Jalan Chantek 5/13, nearby the Gasing Hill..

We ordered some roti kosong, a plate of mutton curry, chicken rendang, bananas and some drinks to cool us down.

Enjoyed our breakfast and chit-chat about our financial problem (as usual). .

When we paid for the food, we were shocked because it costs us Rm34 for 3 person.. Expensive to eat at mamak nowadays..

Had a short walkget our car and we received another shocking incident, "Summon"...Summon for illegal parking.. Rm100 gone.. Heart-ache for my friend.. What a costly breakfast to start the day!

Wings Cafe, SS2

After our dinner at Veneeze, we went to Wings Cafe at SS2. It is located in the same row with CIMB bank..
The cafe was quite dim yet feeling kind of romantic. There were two teenage guys singing some R&B songs. You can write the songs that you wanted them to sing on a piece of paper.

The songs that we requested seldom get selected by them. Know why? We requested songs like "on the floor", "can't get enough of you" and some other pop songs.. HAHA.

I was getting a bit bored because we sat there for few hours before our friends came 1 by 1.. Luckily, some magazines are available for reading. Not too boring anyway.. I was seated at the corner of the last table in the cafe. Not so comfortable after all..

The selection of drinks are limited and quite pricey too. Coke is priced around Rm6 after tax.. But for the environment, I will visit this place again, maybe, perhaps in few months or few years time.. HAha

Veneeze

Five of us dined in Veneeze last night 3/6/11 in Jaya One. It is an Italian restaurant but i think it's not up to standard despite the cozy environment and nice wallpaper featuring the romantic city of Venice...

It was the grand opening for Veneeze and all ala-carte meals were 50% off from normal price. "Half price half portion". The portion of the food were extremely small. My brother couldn't feel a thing after the meal and had to buy doughnuts after.

The environment is cozy and quite romantic for couples although I don't recommend it to couples (to avoid girlfriend or boyfriend to grumble after the meal) HAHAHA

The spaghetti all looked alike with a piece of garlic bread. My friends commented that even my home-cooked seafood spaghetti is more delicious and fragrant than the 1 we had in Veneeze.

Not only the food was well worth to criticize, the drinks served in this restaurant also not up to standard. We ordered carrot milk juice and in the end we got a tasteless and watery carrot juice..

We ordered some side dishes like the garlic bread and Funghi Trifolati (Fried mushroom with garlic)

We did not grumbled for long because of the 50% discount. But 1 thing for sure is I will never return to this restaurant for the food..
