We won the tickets worth more than Rm10,000 for 6 pax from 8TV. We had so much fun just talking bout it now. What had happened was like living in a dream.
We departed from Sweetenham Pier, Penang for Phuket and Krabi before returning to Penang.
On the 29th April, many events took place on that day. My School sports day, Bersih 3.0 rally at Dataran Merdeka and also our flight to Penang.. This was what happened.
On the day itself, I was very occupied for the day. Making sure that we packed our things for the cruise trip, my boyfriend and I started off by making our way to Bangi sports stadium for my school sports day.
With the help of our GPS, we finally reached our destination after a few wrong turns here and there. I was so anxious during the sports day, checking my watch. I was so worried that we could not catch the flight..
In the end, i had to leave early to home as my boyfriend and I were terribly worried that the Bersih rally will caused congestion.. Our predictions were accurate..we were stucked in the traffic jam until 7.30pm. Once we reached home, we dashed upstairs and took our luggage. We called our friend to drive us to the bus station.
Once we were there, we did not take the usual Skybus to the airport. Instead we took the KLIA light transit to LCCT. The train stopped at Salak Tinggi station after 30 minutes for an interchange. Next we took the bus to LCCT which ripped us another 25 minutes to the destination. Our flight to Penang was scheduled at 10pm and the gate will be closed for boarding at 9.40pm. . 9.30pm.. We were still in the bus. Crawling it's way to the airport.
Once we reached, we jumped and ran all the way to the boarding gate. I nearly dropped my pants as i forgot to wear the belt to my loose pants.. The immigration officers checked us loosely as they knew we were late for boarding. Lucky us, by the time we arrived at the gate, there were still passengers queuing to board the flight.. We reached Penang near midnight. Took a taxi which costs us Rm44.70 to our hotel at Chulia Heritage Hotel. Our friends were waiting us in the room. We were so glad that we could make our way to Penang safely and right on time..
My boyfriend and I had a quick cold shower before looking for supper at roadside stalls near the hotel. We had Penang Hokkien Mee for supper (dinner actually). The taste was just perfect. We were so famished that time that we cleaned up the plates.
The next morning, all of us had dim sum for breakfast. The taste was perfect too. Love the egg tart the most. And the price was crazy. Rm1.80 for a plate of dim sum.
Later we checked out from our hotel and took the local Rapid bus to the pier. We were told to wait for another one hour before boarding so we walked around looking for ATMs to withdraw money.
We had a cup of coffee and a short rest at a newly open kopitiam near the pier.
After that, we walked to the Swettenham Pier under the hot scorching sun.
.
Waited for about an hour, we were then on board. It was our first time to take a cruise.
Words can't describe how happy we were at tat time. For the rest of our days on board, I guess I have to let the pictures to speak (:p lazy mode)
Our room.
Taken on the deck when it was approaching sunset..
Welcome On Board Party. Dancers from Brazil were showing their sexy hot moves on board!
Dancing performances in front the swimming pool.
Had our first dinner on board. BBQ buffet on Deck 10.
Looking at the dark starry sky while gentle breeze of wind swept by.. It was like a dream come true for me.
Our pictures with the Penguin Captain when we were queuing to board the cruise.
Our never-ending meals on board. Had supper on the first night.
The next morning, we woke up pretty early to witness the rising sun. It was a perfect view on that morning.
The sunrise, never could I imagine that it could be so beautiful. So mesmerising.
Our breakfast. Had blueberry yoghurt, sunny-side up and a glass of fresh orange juice to start the day. Perfect!
Our group photo.
Second round of breakfast.
Our lunch. Yummy..
The best double boiled soup for lunch! I think I had more than 6 bowls before we touched down to the Phuket. Haha
Our first stop was at the Phuket Aquarium as it was close to the pier.
The admission fee was Rm10 only. Way cheaper than Aquaria KLCC.
Rare species under the sea
Not sure what fish is this but it was reallllly BIG! It was the size of a grown-up man! Scary..Not dare to imgaine if i was thrown into this aquarium.. >.<
Grilled cuttlefish anyone? =P
Walking our way to the Nature Trail to see sea turtles
So cute!
Next stop was at the Cashewnut Factory
Then we went to Wat Chalong. Discovered some stalls selling coconuts and clothes beside the temple. Didn't realise there were stalls during our previous trip
Bought a coconut for 30 baht to quench our thirst on that very sunny afternoon
I had to cover up using some kind of fabric as I was wearing shorts that time.
Then we went to the Patong Beach. The waves were strong and high that afternoon. Reminds me of the tsunami which hit Phuket in 2006 if I am not mistaken.
The usual pose at the beach. What other things can we do besides this? (wondering ^.^?)
We posed before the sunset at Patong Beach. ❤❤
Our dinner at the Jungceylon Mall.
Then we returned to our ship. Too late to go to the Bangla Street for nightlife.. =(
To cheer us up, we found that there were about 50 booths set up next to our cruise ship. Haha. Had a walk and bought a coconut again. =)
Later that night, my boyfriend participated in one of the contests. He really dare to do all this.. But in the end he lose after he was asked to do some hectic exercise of moving paper bag using his mouth with hands at the back. Hehe
Our breakfast on the third day.
After that we hired a tuk tuk for a 4 hours day trip to Krabi town.
Somewhere along the way to the Tiger Cave Temple, I spotted this cute mountain popped out from nowhere. Haha
The streets in Krabi
At the Tiger Cave Temple
Challenging task for tourists. 1237 steps to the mountain. My boyfriend and I managed to climb about 600 steps as our friends were waiting downstairs.
Wild monkeys were everywhere along the way up to the mountain. Saw some tourists provoked the monkeys like nothing better to do.. =.=
At Step 258, we stopped and took a deep breath when making our way down.
Next destination, we went to a shopping mall. We tried something special.
Freshly baked scallops and mussels!
It was very very delicious. It was fresh and has that natural smell of sea water. Yummy. Couldn't resist the temptation.. I think we bought about 30 scallops and mussels..
At Krabi town. Posing with the giant crabs.
Unique traffic lights ^o^
Then we returned to our cruise. Had teatime overlooking the beautiful sunset at the window.
We were all dressed up at the Gala Night Dinner
Our Coke tower. Haha
Cheers!
Beers for the night.
