Cambodia trip: Phnom Penh Day 1

Did swimming this morning. Swam for 2 hours and nearly died of exhaustion.. Suddenly remember that I did not update my blog for quite some time. Gonna put some pictures of my recent trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

I went there for 4 days 3 nights and it was the most relaxing and enjoying holiday trip I've ever had. We did not rush to places of attractions like we used to. All we did was enjoyed the Tonle Sap river view while enjoying our meal at restaurants at the riverfront.

We reached Phnom Penh early in the morning and since it was not time to check in yet, we decided to have our breakfast at the most recommended cafe, The Blue Pumpkin. Overlooking the Tonle Sap river, we ordered two sets of breakfast meal of US$4 each.

Next, we went to the Central market. Walking distance from our hotel; Indochine2 Hotel was about 15 minutes.

Next stop: The Royal Palace. Expensive admission fee. US$6.25 per person.

At the Silver Pagoda

 At the Museum

On the way back to our hotel, we saw elephant! On the road!

Had our dinner at The Chiangmai Riverside. They really know how to cook! Damn delicious. My boyfriend ordered Beef kuey teow and Irish coffee. They blended coffee beans with whisky and added whipped cream on the top and it was served hot.. interesting~

My dinner:  Mee Mama with pork & a glass of orange juice with milk.

Then we bought some cakes at the Kiwi Bakery & Restaurant, located very close to our hotel. And of course we bought some beers made in Cambodia. 50 cents each.

End of Day 1 in Phnom Penh. To be continued..
