Home Sweet Home November 2012

My bf and I flew back for our friend's wedding in November 2012. We were at his grandfather's goat farm

Went there with his cousins

my dear mum

Headed here for breakfast

Chinese sausage and roasted pork noodles soup

Started our road-trip. Yeah!

Sabah is famous for roadside stalls selling local fruits

After a few hours drive, we reached Kundasang

A very peaceful scenery of village on top of a hill

We've arrived the Desa Cattle Dairy Farm at Mesilau, Highland, Kundasang! It has been more than 20 years since my last time here

With my dad in front of the milk processing plant

Wannabe ambassador for Desa =)

In here, it feels like you're in New Zealand

After that, we stopped to have a quick rest at the Rose Cabin.

Look at the mist! We could barely see

Reached Menggatal for a delicious tea-time at Ban Hing coffee house. Famous for its hot buns

I love this! Home-made custard buns!

After checking-in hotel, we went to Yu Kee for dinner

The next morning we went to Sutera Harbour Resort

Private yatch and boat

At Suria Mall

Had dim sum and some noodles soup nearby Tanjung Aru for breakfast

Leaving Kota Kinabalu for Beaufort

"Beaufort, a name that bears the meaning ‘the beautiful fort’ in old French, sits pretty at the southwest region of Sabah. This quiet provincial town is situated less than 2 hours away, roughly 97 kilometers away from Kota Kinabalu."Information aken from:http://www.sabahtourism.com/en/destination/district/10-beaufort/

Roadside stalls selling King of the fruit nearby a Tamu (open-air market) in Beaufort

The bridge that links Kota Kinabalu with Beaufort

We left Beaufort after we had some durians. Then, we discovered a new attraction! Menumbok, Sabah. Did you see the ferry behind? If I'm not mistaken , the ferry operates daily to and fro from Labuan to Brunei and Labuan.

A wooden bridge leads to a small hut

Stopped at Hock Seng coffee shop for tea-time after the day trip in Beaufort

Only in Sabah! My favourite Iced-lemon drink! Miss this so much..

Pan-fried dumpling with minced meat as filling/ Wo tip

At Tanjung Aru Hotel.

Wild mushroom at the open car park

Brought my parents to enjoy some Starbucks drink

Departed from KK to Sandakan. Stopped at Kundasang to buy some locally grown vegetables and of course to enjoy the superb nature view

BOH Tea Plantation

As an overall, we travelled from Sandakan-Kundasang-Kota Kinabalu-Beaufort-Menumbok-Kota Kinabalu-Kundasang-Sandakan
